《KIAF ART SEOUL 2019》, which is celebrating its 18th year, has been steadily participating in internationally renowned global galleries and leading galleries in Korea, and is standing shoulder to shoulder with the best international art fairs in Asia beyond Korea. Every year, major domestic and foreign collectors, curators, and art lovers visit KIAF ART SEOUL to participate in a new trend of contemporary art. This year, 175 galleries from 17 countries (131 domestically and 44 overseas) participated in exhibiting and selling about 10,000 works. At KIAF ART SEOUL 2019, you can read major trends of contemporary art through special exhibitions, as well as various contemporary art introduced in the gallery, solo project, and highlight sections. As a special exhibition, “Korean modernization, the romance that has become a history” will be held, which re-examines Korean modern art. The exhibition planned by Cho Eun-jung, a visiting professor at Korea University, introduces 38 conceived works from 1950 to 1979 (26 authors). In addition, there is a talk program where you can listen to various lectures in the field of visual arts, and a variety of information and attractions are provided at the booths of media and sponsors.
